The RTV Module makes it easy to consolidate multiple products from the same vendor into custom categories and locations before you ship it back. You can age items individually or by category and coordinate bulk shipments to save money on freight costs. Categorizing and consolidating RTV shipments also helps you get a high-level overview of the individual products and product categories that you have to ship back frequently so you can find ways to improve products or change suppliers, reducing the need for RTV in the future.
GRADING & INSPECTION
Every item that comes back to one of your return centers must be inspected and graded, then assigned a value. A robust system of inspection and grading allows you to make the proper decision on how to dispose or return unwanted material. The RTV module has a configurable grading levels system that you can use to automate actions, expediting the disposition process. You can also generate reports on the status, condition, grades, and values of your current returned merchandise to provide updates to customers and improve product delivery and sales in the future.
CONTRACT TERMS AND PERCENTAGES
Most of your vendors will have rules, percentages, timeframes, and other limits on allowable returns. The RTV module allows you to input and manage contract terms directly within the platform. This reduces the chance that a shipment sent back to the vendor will be rejected because the items cannot be returned, or they fall outside the allowable timeframe for returns.
REDUCED RETURN TO SENDER RISK
Not all products can be sent back to the vendor (RTV). Your vendors have policies and contract terms that govern such transactions and will not accept returns that fall outside these terms or violate the stipulations in your contract. When vendors ship a returned item back to you (Return to Sender) it means another unwanted item in your returns center, where it becomes unused inventory.
Our Return to Vendor app checks return requests for all relevant data, such as serial numbers, to reduce the chances of items being sent back. It connects the first and second return flows to recover more value from returned products.
